For Arcona Ambassador: Digital Land

What is Digital Land?

Digital Land is a core asset of the Arcona XR Metaverse. It is a global augmented reality layer that is fully prepared to remotely host interactive content. Essentially, it is a virtual cast of the surface of our planet, each meter of which is tied to a specific location in the physical world.

The Digital Land is divided into equal areas of 100 m2, each of which is an NFT ARDL. It is a completely unique token. Its geographic coordinates, all characteristics and ownership rights are fixed in a smart contract. So far it is an ERC-721 standard token, but we intend to expand the range of blockchains where our land will be generated.

How Digital Land is created

To create Digital Land, the Arcona team developed the Arcona CV Core SDK. It automatically digitizes the Earth's surface generates a layer of additional reality to accommodate 3D content.

The SDK provides extensive markerless localization functionality and allows for flexible customization. Key benefits are high-quality indoor and outdoor operations, including difficult environments such as low light, camera overlaps, and fast user movements.

Our VIO/SLAM algorithms are based on fusion of data from IMU and GPS image sensors and perform accurate positioning and distance measurements using sensor data from smartphones and other standard equipment. In terms of accuracy and performance in urban environments, it has largely outperformed its top-of-the-line counterparts (OpenCV and PCloud). The SDK is initially cross-platform and independent of Google or Apple services.

Another unique feature is the ability to host content remotely. The company created and patented a unique methodology for remote positioning and management of geo-referenced 3D content. It halves the cost of creating AR projects, and reduces launch time (with ready-made content) to 1 hour.

Arcona's open, modular SDK architecture allows third-party solutions to be integrated, constantly expanding and enriching a single ecosystem.

Our cloud-based GIS platform allows us to create 3D terrain and object maps using only mobile device data collected during user sessions or taken from publicly available data libraries. This allows us to eliminate GPS positioning inaccuracy and enable augmented reality sharing through visual recognition and geometry alignment. As a result, we can create dense 3D models for augmented visualization by passing collected and aligned data to the software for photogrammetry, similar to Photoscan or Metashape.

In addition, Arcona CV Core is designed with a universal multi-user approach to augmented reality, which is fundamental to running games and complex AR scenarios

Why buy Digital Land?

Land owners get an exceptional opportunity to earn from reselling their property inside and outside the system, renting it out, and most importantly, developing and equipping their territories.

Each piece of Digital Land is associated with a specific location in the physical world. These can be the most famous places on the planet where thousands of people come every day - the Eiffel Tower, the Roman Colosseum, Manhattan. Or it can be convenient locations near your home. Here you can attract real users to arrange for them AR shows, presentations, online stores, create games. And do it remotely. That is, being in your home town, you can easily launch projects anywhere in the world.

On the Digital Land you can organize a paid attraction and get income from each user, or you can arrange a virtual show, which will attract the attention of a huge number of people and make a profit from interested advertisers.

How to buy a plot of Digital Land?

Digital lands can be bought on the Marketplace Arcona. If you want to buy to create a large-scale AR project - contact the team, we will evaluate the landscape in terms of the convenience of AR content location, determine the coordinates and form a plot of land individually for you.

How do I make money on Digital Land?

It all depends on the location of your site and the projects that you will offer users. In London, for example, about 8.5 million people live and about 19 million tourists come. Any of them could be your potential audience. You can organize a paid attraction and get income from each user, or you can arrange an incredible virtual show, which will attract the attention of a huge number of people, and make a profit from interested advertisers.

You can set up a pay-per-view attraction on Digital Land and get revenue from each user, or you can set up a virtual show that will attract the attention of a huge number of people, and get revenue from interested advertisers.

If you are far from creative experiments with augmented reality, then choose plots in the most promising areas: in business districts, historical centers and shopping streets. Such land is always in demand - you can sell or rent it out profitably to those who want to develop an interactive business.

What content can be placed on Arcona lands

Active Arcona users can create their own virtual scenes anywhere in the world. To do this, they upload their own 3D models or those purchased from external resources, in particular the largest virtual content storage portal Sketchfab. For those who aren't ready to get creative, the app has a collection of all kinds of objects that can be set up anywhere for photo shoots.

*Basic requirements for authoring content:

Content in the AR browser is loaded runtime. To create an AR project, you need mobile ready 3D models up to 100 MB in size. Preferably a small number of polygons (lowpoly) and mobile shaders. Texture size - up to 2048 x 2048, preferably 1024 x 1024. Model format: GLTF, GLB or FBX for AssetBundles. A scene packed in AssetBundles includes the main prefab, all models, textures, shaders, animations, etc. FBX/Unity animations are supported. The current implementation uses Unity 2020.3.
