10 YEAR LATER - AN INCREDIBLE COINCIDENCE

An Incredible Coincidence: Greetings from Facebook from the Past and Samsung Portals to the Future!

It's truly a charming coincidence: today, Facebook sent a reminder about the day we were testing animations for Ludza Castle, which remarkably coincided with the approval of our application to participate in the selection for the Samsung SMA25 program.

10 years ago, in the quiet Latvian town of Ludza, we stood on the castle hill, testing the animation of the battle between the Rus and the knights.

We, like digital archaeologists, were not just recreating the digital reconstruction of the Livonian Order's castle—we were creating the world's first open-air augmented reality park. And to be honest, we realized that this project would be the beginning of a big journey.

Arcona has become more than just a project for digital archaeologists and reconstructions. It is a planetary layer of augmented reality—a metaverse that unites people and technology. We created a space where everyone can become a creator of their part of this universe.

And now a new stage of our journey: our application to participate in the Samsung SMA25 program has been approved. This six-month program will give us the opportunity to develop a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Samsung devices.

Our project for selection, “Mobile Portals to the Planetary AR Space,” is a step towards making augmented reality accessible to everyone.

Results will be announced in May 2025.

We believe that this project will become a new milestone in the development of Arcona and will help us bring even more ideas to life.
